Built by Firefighters.
For Firefighters.
Because apparently a sticky note on the apparatus bay door is not an enterprise-grade communication strategy.
The Problem We All Know
You've been there. It's 0700, you're coming off a long shift, and the oncoming crew is staring at you like you have answers. The rig that's been out of service since Tuesday? Mentioned in passing at the kitchen table. The note about the generator? Written on a paper towel, currently in the trash. The update from the Chief? Forwarded to an email nobody checks.
We understand this because we've lived it. As firefighters ourselves, we know that shift change is one of the most critical moments in station operations, and it's also the moment most likely to fall apart. Things get missed. That's not a failure of character; it's a failure of process.
So we built something about it.
What The Station Board Is
The Station Board is a simple, fast, mobile-friendly operational board for fire stations and apparatus. It lives on your phone, your tablet, or the kitchen computer. No login headaches, no training required, no IT department needed. Your crew enters a Department ID and they're in. That's it.
Each piece of apparatus gets its own notes section. Out-of-service status, equipment issues, shift notes, reminders. All in one place, visible to everyone on the crew, updated in real time. When the next shift walks in, they're not starting from zero. They're starting from informed.
What The Station Board Is Not
To be clear, and we mean this sincerely: The Station Board is not a records management system, a CAD replacement, an incident reporting tool, or a HIPAA-compliant anything. It is not where you document patient care. It is not where you write your incident reports. It is not a substitute for your department's official documentation systems.
It is a digital whiteboard for the stuff that lives between those systems. The operational, day-to-day, "hey don't forget the generator needs fuel" kind of information that keeps a station running smoothly.
Why We Kept It Simple
We've all seen the fire service adopt technology that requires a three-hour training session and a laminated reference card. We deliberately went the other direction. If your crew can't figure it out in under two minutes, we've failed.
The Station Board is fast, focused, and friction-free. It works on any device, installs like an app directly from your browser, and doesn't require anyone to remember a password. We believe the best tool is the one people actually use. And people use things that don't get in their way.
We're firefighters who got tired of the information gap at shift change. We hope this helps close it for your department too.
Ready to get your station on the board?
